Description
Description | The project consists of replacing the underground sanitary sewer, storm sewer, potable water services, and roadway surface structures on College Road. The project will investigate feasibility of widening or optimizing road surfaces, and include separated boulevard style roadway/sidewalk separations wherever practical. The existing combined sewer mains are to be replaced with minimum 250mm PVC sanitary sewer mains, with individual property sewer services to be replaced to the property line. Storm sewer will be separated with mains designed to withstand extreme weather events and have capacity for anticipated storm surges. Water distribution mains are to be replaced with minimum 200mm PVC, with individual property water services to be replaced to the property line with Municipex piping and equipped with curb stops. All metal fittings are to be equipped with corrosion protection. Street replacement will include curb and gutter on both sides of the street for improved storm drainage, and include replacement of concrete sidewalks wherever practical. Project will increase capacity to treat and manage wastewater and storm water as well as provide increased access to potable water. |
