Description

First Korat Wind Company Limited was planning the development of the 103.5MW West Huaybong 3 Wind Farm, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The project was expected to generate 232.5 GWh annually, and consisted of 45 turbines of 2.3MW. Equipment was to be supplied by Siemens Wind Power AS, incorporated in Denmark. The type used was the Siemens SWT 2.3 101, three blade horizontal axis. Lifespan was 20 years. A PPA was signed with EGAT. Commissioning was expected for 2012. Starting date of project activity was March 2010. The project was to receive an adder tariff of Baht 3.5/kWh, from the Power Department Fund Management Division, Energy Regulatory Commission, for 10 years. The project became operational in November 2012. Total investment was unknown, Financial Closure date was unknown, estimated here was March 2010 (start of CDM project activity). Total investment was ESTIMATED here at 103.5MW x 1.5 million per MW (average cost for EAP), is $155 million.
