Phase 2 work will extend from approximately the Northeast 200 block to the Northeast 800 block ( project map ). The project will be done in coordination with Bellevue Utilities' West Lake Sammamish Parkway Water Pressure Project . Construction impacts Construction began in April 2020 and is expected to be completed in 2022. The multipurpose path on the west side of the Parkway, north of Northup Way, opened for use in June 2021. The second phase of construction stretches from Southeast First Street to the 1900 block. Benefits Transportation improvements include new pavement, an 8-10-foot wide multipurpose path on the west side, a landscaped buffer, two 10-foot wide travel lanes and a four-foot shoulder on the east side. In addition to Utilities' work to replace water mains, other improvements will feature new lighting, landscaping, irrigation and storm drainage.
