West Linn Operations Complex

West Linn plans to build a new 40,000-sq.-ft. public works complex on a 33-acre site that was the location of a devastating landslide in 1969 during excavation for Interstate 205. The complex will house the city's public works department, including parks, facilities, and fleet maintenance divisions. The project site is on basalt bedrock and meets state seismic standards. The city purchased the land from the state Department of Transportation for $396,000 and plans to finance the $45 million project through bonds.
