Description | The project involved the expansion and repaving of West Main Street in Kalamazoo, including adding a westbound lane from Drake Road to US-131, rebuilding the Maple Hill Drive intersection, storm water drainage improvements, concrete curb, gutter and sidewalks, and upgrading signal and pavement markings. The southbound US-131 exit loop ramp to eastbound West Main Street was removed, and the ramp to westbound West Main Street was expanded to include a left turn for eastbound traffic. A new ramp for westbound West Main Street traffic to southbound US-131 was opened, and the traffic signal at 10th Street was upgraded to include a left-turn phase. |
