West Mediterranean Consortium (WEST-MED), consisting of KOSGEB Antalya Directorate, Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Antalya Technopark Administrator and Operator Inc. and Mugla Chamber of Commerce and Industry, prepared a Project proposal under COSME Enterprise Europe Network Call 2015-2021. The specific objectives of the project are; to increase the growth potential of SMEs, to enhance their innovative capacity and create new jobs, to encourage SMEs to expand their businesses and enter new markets by supporting their internationalization efforts, developing transnational co-operation and finding suitable business partners, to overcome the challenges caused by industrialization and urbanization by means of innovation, to build an innovation culture, promote innovation amongst enterprises and increase the innovation capacities of SMEs to foster sector-specific innovation clusters, public-private innovation partnerships, and the application of innovation management at regional and EU level, to increase the participation of the SMEs in European programs and initiatives, to help enterprises better access to Community financing in order to overcome the market failure and to encourage innovative activities, to guide researchers to transfer research into commercialization through benefiting from early stage funding opportunities, such as seed capital, venture capital and business angels, to present and promote innovative and eco-friendly policies and technologies to industrialists in the WEST-MED region for developing green industrial infrastructure in touristic zones. In order to achieve these objectives certain activities will be implemented in 2020-2021 and also an implementation strategy for the period 2015-2021 is defined.
