West Wales Hydrogen Project

West Wales Hydrogen is the first project-financed green hydrogen production facility in the UK and Europe, developed by MorGen Energy. It will produce approximately 2000 tonnes of low-carbon hydrogen annually using a 20MW electrolyser system supplied by ITM Power. Mott MacDonald provides lender's technical and environmental support, including due diligence and ongoing monitoring. The project has secured 15 years of revenue support under the UK Government's Hydrogen Production Business Model and grant funding from the Net Zero Hydrogen Fund.
