Description | The Australian and Western Australian governments announced 10 new renewable energy and battery storage projects under the federal Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS). These projects include six onshore wind farms, three standalone big batteries, and one solar and battery hybrid project, spanning from Three Springs to Collie and Kondinin. The projects represent a A$5 billion investment, aiming to be operational by 2030, creating 7,000 construction jobs and 500 maintenance jobs, generating enough electricity to power over one million households and providing dispatchable storage for over 400,000 households during peak demand. |
