Description | The Western Gateway Pipeline is a mega-pipeline project that will stretch from St. Louis, Missouri to California, supplying 200,000 barrels per day into Phoenix. It aims to replace the current 125,000 barrels Arizona receives from California, allowing that fuel to stay in California. The pipeline will be co-located alongside an existing pipeline from El Paso, Texas, with products coming from refineries in the middle of the country and Gulf Coast spots. The project addresses California's diminishing refining capabilities and is expected to be completed by 2029, subject to agreements and approvals. |
