The project develops an energy-saving, cost- and eco-efficient system for packing, storing and handling crushed cereals in order to increase the profitability of cereal cultivation in the programme area. The aim of the project is to increase the profitability of the cereal cultivation programme area. This is achieved by creating an energy-saving, cost- and eco-efficient system for packing, storing and handling crushed grains. In order to facilitate the introduction of the system and minimise its environmental impact, the project will also develop models for maturation, trade and handling of packaging material. With the help of LCA analyses, the impact of the system on the environment compared to established methods is reported.
