What does Europe dream about? What kind of Europe do we dream about? What are the dreams of Europeans, and what is the European reality? Are the dreams wishes fulfillment, or some other, displaced, absurd reality? These are some of the most important questions and themes that move and are searched for by the heroes, lead and side characters, lyrical subjects, author alter-egos, and storytellers of the ten books of the project ―What Europe Dreams About?: Dreams and reality between dialogue and monologue in contemporary European drama, poetry, and prose. The collection covers 13 plays, 7 authors in 7 books, written in 7 languages by writers of diverse generations, who are enveloped by common topics, and the supreme quality of the works themselves, which is observed through a number of prominent awards the authors have won. The project encourages translations of literature from lesser-used languages and translations of the literature of less-represented genres. Experienced translators, editors, and designers will provide a high-quality translation and book publishing, whilst a large number of resources will be directed to distribution and promotion to conquer the new market and reach the audience. The promotion strategy envisages the use of the digital shift, well as more traditional tools, audience will be integrated into the process that will culminate with a theatre play production, selected by the participants. Social media will be intensively used to target young and educated people as the main target groups, but also everyone who wants to dream about What Europe Dreams About.
