The new Wheat terminal at the Port of Rio de Janeiro is intended to serve the import of that product. The project will be built in the area of Warehouse 11, in the area between Warehouses 10 and 11 and in part of Warehouse 12. The tendered area comprises 13,453 m2. The planned investments are R$ 93,113,356.00. The estimated global value of the contract is R$515,797,013.85. The fixed rental value per month will be R$35,699.64. The lease term is 25 years, extendable for an equal period. Payment of the grant will be as follows: 25% within 45 days after the act of approval and award. And the rest in five annual payments. At the end of the lease period, the terminal must have a minimum capacity to handle 918 thousand tons of bulk cargo per year. The auction was held on 04/20/17 and with a grant value of R$1.180 million, the Maravilha consortium (BUNGE S.A and M DIAS BRANCO S.A) won the auction held by the National Waterway Transport Agency.
