Where is the cultural MEETING POINT in case of emergency?]

MEETING POINT is a 2-year residency exchange for performing artists in Denmark, Greece, Poland. The focus is How to find a meeting point in the cultural field when the condition is changing in emergency. War, economic crisis, political decision, or natural disaster can reduce availability of resources, space, possibility to meet artistically. Our project is inspired by the circle designed on the ground of the city where people can safely meet in case of emergency (for instance the meeting point in case of fire or of earthquake). The consortium partners invite artists from across Europe and particularly they reserve a quote for Ukraine artists, who are emerging artists or artists at risk of exclusion to investigate the theme of the meeting between culture or different form of arts. The aim is to achieve an empowerment of the new generation of artists and investigate how the different form of art integrate can create more opportunities to work together. In the first year 40 young emerging artists from different disciplines (6 musician in Herning – Denmark, 10 actors in Holstebro – Denmark, 6 Dancer in Warsaw – Poland, 10 visual artist in Athens – Greece) will work with trainer in masterclass programs of one months. The second year, the quote of artist from Ukraine (3 per discipline) will meet in Holstebro in a period of residence of 30 days for creating a common performance. The artists, from Ukraine and Europe, will also receive mentoring. At the end of the residence period, the performance created will tour in Denmark ( 5 dates at least) in Poland (3 dates at least), in Greece (3 dates at least).
