Description	The White Run Reservoir project involves building a new reservoir in Greene County, including a water line, intake, and pump station. The project aims to expand water supply capacity, replacing the aging treatment facility that currently processes water from the Rapidan River. The reservoir's storage capacity has been reduced from 900 million gallons to 600 million gallons to reduce costs. The project cost estimate has been lowered from $87 million to $65.5 million. Funding includes $12 million in state grants, $43.5 million from municipal bonds, and an additional $3 million allocated by the General Assembly. Contracts have been awarded for construction of the Raw Water Intake and Pump Station #1 and installation of the Raw Water Main. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for December 9, 2025.
