Description

This Project proposes to widen and reconstruct Whittlesey Road from Rollins Way to Veterans Parkway (US 27/SR 1). The project would widen the existing 2-lane roadway with 11-foot lanes and 10-foot shoulders to two, 12-foot lanes in each direction, with one section of three, 12-foot lanes in an easterly direction between W. Hamilton Park Drive and the eastern project terminus, with 16-foot shoulders, including 5-foot sidewalks and curb and gutter on both sides of the roadway, and a 20-foot raised median. The project includes widening along Veterans Parkway from four lanes to six lanes with a raised medain from Gepca Drive. to Commercial Drive. The purpose of the proposed construction is to improve safety, access, and capacity along this facility.
