Description | The project involved a 300-acre undeveloped parcel in Wicasset, Maine, initially considered for new affordable housing development funded by $1.5 million in ARPA funds allocated by Lincoln County. Later, town officials proposed using $240,000 of these funds to conduct a feasibility study for a $5 billion data center on the same site, which led to the county rescinding the housing funds and reallocating them to other towns. The data center project stalled, as did the housing plans. |
