Description

The Project consists of upgrading Shoal Harbour Drive in the Town of Clarenville. The scope of the Project includes addition of a left turning lane from Sunset Drive to Clarenville Honda dealership entrance. The existing roadway (~500 m) will be widened. New asphalt will be placed, 150 m of curb and gutter, and 180 m of sub-drains will be installed. The Project also includes an extension to the gravel walkway on Shoal Harbour Drive from Sunset Drive to the Coop Gas Bar. This consists of filling in the existing ditch for a walkway that will be separated for vehicular and pedestrian use by 350 m of guide rail. 2 fire hydrants will also be re-located. The Project aims to improve drainage concerns, provide smoother road surfaces and create a safe environment for both pedestrians and motorists using the road system. (0.5 km).
