Wildwood Drive Repair Project

planned

The project involves repairing Wildwood Drive, a more-than-50-year-old road in Kenai, Alaska. The state transportation department will plan, design, and construct improvements including drainage, intersections, roadside hardware, and utilities along the roughly half-mile stretch of road between Kenai Spur Highway and Wildwood Correctional Complex. The state will perform a "shave and pave" effort, pulverizing the existing surface, using crushed asphalt as a base, and adding two inches of new pavement. After the state's work, the city will take over maintenance and upkeep.
