Description
Description | The project involves widening Wilkinson Pike between Gresham Park Drive and Willowoak Trail by adding a third lane and 2-foot shoulders to the drainage ditch section. The project aims to provide an alternative route to the congested Medical Center Parkway and includes developers funding 70% of the nearly $1.6 million cost. Construction is expected to start by late fall or early winter 2026 and take six to eight months to complete. Longer-term plans include further widening with curb and gutter for underground drainage, sidewalks, and a multiuse pedestrian path connecting to Stones River National Battlefield park trails, but these are not currently funded. |
