The lawsuit alleges the Defense Department stopped legally required reviews in August 2025, delaying projects that would expand electricity generation and reduce energy costs. The projects include wind turbines taller than 200 feet that require review by the Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Defense to assess impacts on military operations and national security. New Jersey is part of the PJM Interconnection regional power grid, which would benefit from the additional energy generation. |
