Description | The Windsor Rail System Extension Project is a 3.1-mile extension of the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) from the northern terminus at Sonoma County Airport Station to the town of Windsor. The project includes over three miles of Class IV main line track, four bridges, one station with amenities, a 2.6-mile segment of the SMART Multiuse Pathway, gauntlet tracks for freight train passage, and five at-grade crossings. The Windsor station is the 14th station on the SMART line and is located near the Windsor Town Green. |
