Description | The Winkler-Stanley-Morden Wastewater Treatment System: Phase 2 Project (the Project) consists of upgrading the wastewater treatment system that serves the City of Morden. The current system consists of two lagoons one in Morden and one in Winkler, with portions of the RM of Stanley currently connecting to Winkler lagoon. The lagoons currently serve as a treatment and storage facility. The overall system will be developed into two phases. ICIP approved Phase 1 (GIS-EQ 1089A) is currently in progress and will serve the City of Winkler and RM of Stanley. As Phase 2, the Project will serve the City of Morden and involves construction of a greenfield facultative lagoon system consisting of primary and secondary cells followed a tertiary engineered wetland. The Project also includes construction of a new lift station, rerouting of existing gravity sewer to the new lift station and forcemain to the proposed lagoon site.
