Description | The Winton North Solar Farm is a 100 MW solar plant being constructed in northeast Victoria, Australia. The project includes a 100 MW solar farm and a 100 MW, two-hour battery energy storage system to follow in a second phase. It is expected to generate 227 GWh of clean energy annually and is part of a hybrid project on a 256-hectare site near Wangaratta. The project is backed by a power purchase agreement with Amazon Web Services and is on track to begin operations in 2027. |
