Description
Description | The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing a resurfacing project on WIS 27 from WIS 29 in Cadott to Johnson Road in Cornell, Chippewa County. The project includes removing 2 inches of existing pavement and overlaying with new asphalt, widening paved shoulders, adding centerline rumble strips, replacing approaches and wing parapets on the Yellow River Bridge, replacing the pedestrian underpass in Cadott, extending a box culvert near Bohemian Hall, cleaning and repairing culverts, upgrading pedestrian curb ramps, replacing guardrail, and placing new pavement markings. Temporary and permanent right-of-way acquisition will be needed. WIS 27 will be closed during pedestrian underpass replacement with detours via WIS 29 and WIS 178. Construction is scheduled for 2028 but could be advanced to 2027 if funding is available. |
