WHC seeks to renovate our 419 Graham location which is currently 3 floors & a mezzanine.Our priority populations are Two-Spirit, LGBTTQA, Racialized & Indigenous people,newcomers, & those who live in poverty.The building houses many of our program including, Medical Clinic, Counselling,Provincial Eating Disorder Prevention & Recovery,Social Worker,Health Education & Promotion,Birth Control & Pregnancy Counselling,Free Birth Control/Safer Sex Supplies,Teen Clinic, Community Safe Space Drop-in.The building needs extensive repairs, upgrades, & replacements to maintain safety & operations. Building mechanical, electrical & elevator systems are original (1960).There is a huge opportunity to improve energy efficiency.The building does not comply with current accessibility standards.This project is proposing deep retrofits to increase accessibility, energy efficiency, resilience, durability, & reduce carbon emissions as well as creating more culturally appropriate space for community/clients.
