Description
Description | The Woodburn Amazon fulfillment center is a five-story, 3.8 million-square-foot warehouse, making it the largest Amazon fulfillment center in the Pacific Northwest. The facility began operations with its first shipment on June 11, 2025, and currently employs approximately 1,500 people, with plans to expand employment to over 2,800 full-time and 3,500 temporary workers during the holiday season. The project started construction in July 2021 and faced delays due to modifications in the warehouse's automation system. The project also included local infrastructure improvements such as a new roundabout and added capacity to a highway off-ramp, with Amazon contributing financially to local transit and park facilities. |
