Description | The Town of Barton has secured a federal grant to replace the Woodford Drive steel bridge over the Milwaukee River in Young America. The bridge, dating back to 1891, will be replaced with a new vehicular bridge including a walking path. The project aims to provide a secondary access route to the Young America neighborhood by reconnecting Woodford Drive east and west of the Milwaukee River. The design process has started and is expected to take approximately two years, with construction scheduled for 2027. |
