About 85 percent (or US$850,000) of the proposed credit would finance engineering and consulting services for the construction of eight new berths, the reconstruction of a bridge, the remodeling of a railway yard, and the expansion of oil handling facilities. These services include final engineering designs and cost estimates for all the above items. With respect to the new berths and the bridge, preparation of tender documents, construction schedules, specifications and bills of quantities, and, regarding the berths, prequalification of tenderers, invitation and evaluation of bids will also be included. In addition, the consultants will prepare an economic justification in terms of cost-benefit analysis and return on investment for all construction items.
