Wuda Ogwa Cultural and Land Restoration Project

under construction

The Wuda Ogwa Cultural and Land Restoration Project involves restoring the Bear River Massacre site to its natural state by returning the creek to its historic path, removing invasive species, planting native plants, restoring wetlands, and improving water flow. The project also focuses on reclaiming tribal history through Indigenous Research Methods and creating digital archives of tribal history. The project aims to benefit local farmers, communities, and the Great Salt Lake, while memorializing the site with a stone amphitheater and Cultural Interpretive Center.
