Description | In June 2007, a local private company, Hanergy Group (formerly, Farsighted) acquired the Wulang River Hydro Power Development portfolio of projects in Lijiang City, Yunnan Province on a direct negotiation basis for RMB 610 million (US$ 80.16 million). Hanergy owned 100% of this project with a capacity of 32MW and was to operate the power plant for 20 years throught the project company, Lijiang Wulang River Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. Plans were to build three reservoirs and ten cascades of hydropower stations. The first phase started commercial operations in December 2007. |
