Description
Description | W.Write – Women, Writing, Rights, and Rites: Reimagining the Ecosystem of Literary Arts is a transnational cooperation project aiming to achieve systemic change in the European literary sector by addressing the structural gender inequalities that persist across publishing, education, and cultural representation. The project empowers female writers, particularly from underrepresented backgrounds, through inclusive residencies, mentoring, capacity building, and international creative camps. It also fosters policy innovation by generating new data on gender equity in the literary field and co-developing practical tools like the Charter of Gender Equity and a recognition badge for fair publishing practices. By combining artistic creation, applied research, and cross-sectoral collaboration, W.Write contributes to EU priorities on inclusion, gender equality, and digital and green transitions. Its 360° approach includes initiatives to reshape literary education, challenge male-dominated canons, and promote audience development. Activities take place across Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, and France, with open calls extending impact across Europe. |
