Description
Description | The Wyoming Department of Transportation is implementing a new safety initiative ahead of the state's wind season. This includes installing reflective roadside signs that read "HANG ON" to replace outdated wind warnings. The signs have motion sensors that activate a secondary message when wind gusts exceed 70 mph. The project is part of a $14 million plan that also includes installing Velcro parking lots in Rawlins and distributing free seatbelts for hats. The signs will be installed along I-25, Highway 220, and other roads where wind has previously carried porta-potties significant distances. |
