Description | US next-generation geothermal technology company XGS Energy has formed a strategic collaboration with energy technology company Baker Hughes to advance XGS’s 150-MW geothermal project for Meta in New Mexico. Baker Hughes has been awarded an initial order to support the exploration and engineering phases of the project, which will deliver power to the Public Service Company of New Mexico’s (PNM) grid for Meta’s data centre operations in the state. XGS's technology is a solid-state geothermal system that uses thermally conductive materials to harness energy wherever hot rock is available. |
