Description | In July 2013, a local private company, Sound Group signed an agreement with the Xingping County Government to build and operate the phase II of the Xingping County Wastewater Treatment Plant in Xingping County, Shaanxi Province. The total investment was US$ 19.91 million (RMB 12.34591 million). Sound won the agreement via open bidding. The concession term of the BOT agreement was not reported. Sound Group had a 100% stake in the project. The capacity of the second phase of the plant was 50,000 tons per day. The plant would serve a population of 100,000 and two industrial parks. 35% of the sewage came from households and the remaining 65% from industrial users. By October 2013, US$ 7.42 million (RMB 46 million) had been spent on construction. |
