Description

Description	The project involves the construction of phase I of Xinhua Waste-to-energy plant, located in Xinhua, Hunan province of China. Phase I of the project has a designed daily waste processing capacity of 700 tonnes (255,500 tonnes/year). The 2nd phase will add further 350 tonnes/day to the capacity. Phase I will be equipped with two 350 tonnes/day mechanical grate furnaces and one 15 MW steam turbine power generator. The project is expected to generate approximately 69 million kWh of green electricity per year. The sponsor China Everbright international Ltd signed a concession agreement for 30 years, including the construction. The project cost is approximately CNY 588 million or $ 85.49 million.
