The project comprises the construction of fourth power supply project of ""Xinjiang power transmission"", located in Ruoqiang County, Bayinguoleng Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, China. The sponsor is Three Gorges Corporation. Construction started on September 28, 2024. The total investment of the fourth channel of ""Xinjiang Power Transmission"" is about $14,263m or 100 billion yuan, of which the total installed capacity of power projects is planned to exceed 19 000MW, including 4 000MW of wind power, 8500MW of photovoltaic power, 3960MW of advanced and efficient coal-fired power generation, and about 2500MW of energy storage. It is expected to be fully connected to the grid and put into operation by the end of 2027.
