Description | In October of 2001, China Evergreen Environmental Corporation (CEEC), later renamed to China Water Group, Inc., signed a 22-year BOT contract for the 40,000 tons of sewerage per day capacity Xinle Wastewater Treatment Plant in Hebei Province. To implement the contract, the Xin Le Sheng Mei Water Purifying Company was created as the project company in which CEEC held a 45% stake while the state-owned partner held the remainder. CEEC was a private wastewater engineering company based out of Guangzhou Province. Total investment was RMB 34 million (US$4.1 million).
