The project involves the development, construction and operation of Phase I of Xiongan New Area Waste Integrated Treatment Plant, located in Dengzhou, Nanyang, Henan of China. The plant is expected to process solid waste from Xiongan New Area, including waste incineration, food waste treatment, etc. The project is expected to have a household waste processing capacity of 2,250 tons/day (821,250 tons/year), food waste treatment capacity of 300 tonnes/day (109,500 tons/year), fecal treatment capacity of 300 tonnes/day (109,500 tons/year), sludge dehydration treatment capacity of 150 tonnes/day (54,750 tons/year) and a medical waste treatment capacity of 10 tonnes/day (3,650 tons/year). The sponsors are China Everbright International Ltd, China Xiongan Group Ecological Construction Co. and China Construction Second Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. The concession agreement is for a period of 30 years, which includes the construction period. The project cost is approximately CNY 2.74 billion or $ 391.2 million.
