Yangibana Rare Earth Processing and Offtake Agreement

Hastings Technology Metals and Wyloo Gascoyne have signed a non-binding Heads of Agreement with Ucore Rare Metals to advance rare earth processing in the United States. The agreement includes negotiating a long-term offtake agreement for up to 37,000 tonnes per annum of rare earth concentrate from the Yangibana joint venture. The companies will jointly evaluate the feasibility of establishing a downstream hydrometallurgy plant in Louisiana to convert concentrate into mixed rare earth carbonate, aiming to enhance project value and supply the North American rare earths market.
