Description | The project involves the design, engineering, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of a 27.5-kilometer elevated toll road in Yangon, the largest city in Myanmar. The road is the first phase of a planned 47.5km expressway.The four-lane expressway is proposed to be implemented on an elevated viaduct above existing roadways to connect Yangon's CBD in the south with the Yangon Industrial Park in the north. The expressway will also provide a link to Yangon International Airport. It will go through eight townships of Yangon: Mingalar Taung Nyunt, Tamwe, Thingangyun, South Okkalapa, North Okkalapa, Mayangone, Mingaladon and Insein.Construction will take three and a half years. |
