Masat Enerji Elektrik Uretim ve Ticaret Limited Sirketi was a project company created to implement 23.4 MW Yavuz Hydro Power Plant and 33 MW Midilli Hydro Power Plant on the Yesilirmak River in the province of Amasya, Turkey. Both of them were two run-of-river hydroelectric plants. Masat Enerji Elektrik Uretim ve Ticaret Limited Sirketi was owned by Eti Elektrik, which in turned was owned by US Cogentrix. Masat Enerji Elektrik Uretim ve Ticaret Limited Sirketi was to sell electricity to the Turkey power grid. Masat Enerji Elektrik Uretim ve Ticaret Limited Sirketi raised US$80 million of funding from Yapi Kredi Bankasi, A.S. in June 2010. The funding was to be used for finalizing the construction Yavuz and Midilli Hydro Power Plants. On July 2010 Yavuz run-of river hydro power plant became operational. Midilli Hydro Power Plants was expected to be operational in 2012. There was no public information on the total project cost. Therefore the debt funding was used as approximation.
