MAPNA Group, an Iran industrial group, was planning the development of the 467MW Yadz Power Plant (also reported as 478MW), using both CCNG and CSP technology, in Yadz province. It consisted of two gas turbines of 159MW each, a steam unit of 143MW, and a CSP unit of 17MW. Total capacity used here was 478MW due to the level of detail in the breakdown (more convincing). The EPC contractor was Petrotechno (Petro Tech Sun International Co., or: PTS). The equipment was supplied by Alstom and Siemens (CCNG). The CSP system was supplied by Doosan and MAPNA, using Parabolic Through technology. The project was commissioned in 2009. The 'contract' between Iran Electricity Development Organization and MAPNA was signed in fall of 2006. It is not totaly clear if MAPNA is the developer or the EPC contractor - the alternative would be Iran Electricity Development Organization. However, given that Petrotechno reportedly executed the EPC work, it seems more likely MAPNA was the developer and got permitted/awarded by Iran Electricity Development Organization. Assuming construction lasted 3 years (2006-2009), financial closure was reached in fall of 2007. Total cost was reported at EUR 125.7 million ($158.2 million), of which EUR100.55 ($126.6 million) was provided through debt and the remainder in equity ($57.7 million).
