It will transport 1.1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day and is expected to create 2,000 direct jobs and an average of 12,000 jobs annually through downstream investments. The project has received approval for its need assessment application from the Alberta Utilities Commission and has strong contractual support with 90% of its capacity committed. Construction is expected to begin next year pending further approvals. |
