Description | The YMCA of Timmins wants to upgrade the exterior of the main building on Poplar Street and improve accessibility to the building. The exterior renovation will solve two issues - a crumbing façade that is a health and safety risk and a lack of insulation in the walls. Improvements to the accessibility of the building will allow the project to exceed AODA standards. It will also ensure that the exterior of this multiuse facility meets all Health and Safety regulations. Exterior rigid insulation and new cladding will be added to the outside of the building. Two exterior cement stairways that are crumbling away will also be fixed. The project will increase access to the YMCA for the surrounding community. |
