"YOUTH VOICE is a regional initiative aimed at enhancing the active participation of youths in local and regional political and social life. Structured around four thematic modules—youth, equality and non-discrimination, local sustainable development, and professional interaction—the project raises awareness and empowers adolescents to understand their rights and role in civic engagement. It focuses particularly on reaching young beneficiaries in the Sardinian areas of ""Sassarese"" and ""Medio Campidano,"" with special attention to vulnerable groups. Adopting a child-friendly and gender-sensitive methodology, the project builds young people’s capacity through participatory workshops, peer-to-peer learning, and direct interaction with educators and policymakers. Adolescents will be supported in developing their own initiatives, engaging in structured dialogue, and co-designing solutions alongside institutional actors. YOUTH VOICE is also a catalyst for institutional innovation. By involving teachers, professionals, and local authorities in training and participatory governance processes, the project promotes a shift toward inclusive, responsive, and rights-based policymaking. It positions children not merely as beneficiaries but as key contributors to democratic life. The project ultimately aims to empower youth as agents of change, reinforcing democratic culture and improving public policies. Its most tangible legacy will be the establishment of Children’s Communal Councils, enabling minors to present legislative proposals throughout the project’s duration and beyond—ensuring long-term sustainability and institutional engagement."
