Description

Description

In a European context where the economical crisis has created a particularly fragile situation for today’s young generations and youth unemployment rates still remain high, promoting an entrepreneurial mindset becomes more necessary than ever. Entrepreneurship and in particular SMEs, are the backbone of the EU economy. In parallel, the ICT sector is the driver for innovation in every other economic sector representing 3.7% of Europe’s workforce and >1M SMEs. Taking into account this context, Young Entrepreneurs in Motion project (YEIM) is designed to promote European young entrepreneurship, especially within the ICT sector (SMEs providers of IT services/products for other SMEs). YEIM will be open to all entrepreneurs but puts special attention to the promotion of entrepreneurship in this area and women entrepreneurship by helping new and already consolidated entrepreneurs to enrich their knowledge and work experience through transnational mobility actions and networking experiences. The ultimate goal is to enhance entrepreneurship and the internationalization and competitiveness of SMEs. SGA-2 incorporates two new approaches: 1) Directing entrepreneurs towards B2B and B2B2C markets; 2) Focusing on ICT-related sectors with a higher opportunity (AgroTech; Industry 4.0 and Tertiary Sector (FinTech, InsurTech, LegalTech, etc.). YEIM will engage entrepreneurs in the EYE programme and will offer them added value support services through specialized pre-departure training/mentoring and the YEIM platform, with resources for NEs to gain entrepreneurial skills and start-up creation techniques (BP development, guides, RSS alert with funding opportunities, opportunities for start-ups), and tools for HEs to become more competitive and expand their businesses (space for searching public/ private funding, Financial Opportunity Diagnosis tool, Business Cooperation area). YEIM consortium is formed by 10 entities from 8 countries. The LP is the Society to Promote Innovative Companies
