European context where climate crisis, pandemics, war in Ukraine and economical crisis has created a particularly fragile situation for today’s young generation and youth unemployment rates still remain high, promoting the sustainable and digital entrepreneurial mindset in Europe becomes more necessary than ever. Entrepreneurship and in particular SMEs, are the backbone of EU economy. In parallel, the ICT and green tech sectors are drivers for innovation in every other economic sector representing 3.7% of Europe’s workforce and >1M SMEs. Taking into account this context, YEIM UP is the enhanced suit of successful YEIM. It is designed to promote sustainable and digital entrepreneurship. YEIM will be open to all entrepreneurs but puts special attention to the promotion of entrepreneurship in green and digital areas and women entrepreneurship by helping new and already consolidated entrepreneurs to enrich their knowledge and work experience through transnational mobility actions and networking experiences. The ultimate goal is to enhance sustainable, digital, women entrepreneurship and the internationalization and competitiveness of SMEs. SGA-3 incorporates new approaches: 1) Directing entrepreneurs towards B2B and B2B2C markets from underrepresented countries as well as expanding global network; 2) Focusing on ICT-related sectors with a higher opportunity (Green Tech). YEIM UP will engage entrepreneurs in the EYE programme and will offer them added value support services through specialized pre-departure training/mentoring with resources for NEs to gain sustainable and digital entrepreneurial skills and start-up creation techniques. YEIM UP consortium is formed by 10 entities from 8 countries. Three partners in the consortium are from underepresented countries. All partners are very experienced in startups and business consultancy. Consortium will match 859 RLTs. Minimum 7% of entrepreneurs will be sustainable businesses, minimum 13% will be from digital businesses.
