Description

Description

The Federation of Young European Greens (FYEG) is a non-governmental non-profit organisation, run by young people and for young people. FYEG represents more than 55,000 young Europeans that are active in the 37 Member Organisations (MO) at the national and regional level. Beyond its direct membership base, FYEG counts with connections and partnerships with a wide range of grassroots movements, civil society organisations, political groups, and institutions. FYEG’s objectives in 2026 and 2027 are aligned with the EU Youth Strategy: 1)CONNECT: facilitate transnational connection between young people within the network and beyond; 2)ENGAGE: promote youth participation and bringing young Europeans closer to institutions, elected officials, and other stakeholders involved in decision-making processes (specially at the EU level); 3)EMPOWER: equip young Europeans with skills to foster an independent life and contribute to build thriving and active communities; 4)SUSTAIN: Ensure the sustainability, continuity and efficiency of FYEG’s work. FYEG will focus on three main target groups: our MOs and their membership base; young activists from other organisations and general (young) public; and Members of the European Parliament and other decision-makers at all levels. FYEG has more than 35 years of organisational history reflected in creative and high-quality activities, professional every-day running of the organisation, and well-defined democratic and inclusive structures: FYEG’s MOs come together every year in a General Assembly (the highest decision-making body). The GA approves an Activity Plan and elects an Executive Committee (EC), that leads the Federation. The EC is supported by the Office based in Brussels. FYEG bases all its activities on high standards of youth participation and non-formal education methods.
