The present project aims at contributing to the effective and coherent application of EU law by addressing the training needs of young lawyers in private practice on cross-cutting topics of EU law, such as EU litigation, fundamental rights (the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights), the rule of law, and data protection. The overall objectives are to increase the target group’s knowledge and understanding of EU law, to contribute to a better access to justice and a proper application of EU law, and to increase cross-border cooperation with colleagues from other EU Member States. The project will provide training activities for young lawyers in English and create training materials. The training materials developed will include written presentations and case studies, as well as e-presentations. Four training activities will be implemented together with nine Bar associations. 120 young lawyers in private practice will directly benefit from this training series and increase their knowledge and understanding of EU law, and improve their ability to effectively use EU law in their daily work. The training activities will also boost networking opportunities and cooperation among European lawyers, as well as provide a forum for debate to exchange experiences and different views on EU law in general.
