Description
Description | "The war in Ukraine is the latest wave of disruption to sweep across Europe by causing the greatest humanitarian crisis in Europe since the Second world war. The conflict sent shockwaves across the region's business landscape and compounded the woes that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) face, including a shaky pandemic recovery and fragile global supply chain. Already, thousands of lives have been lost and millions of livelihoods have been disrupted through displacement, lost homes and incomes. In order to contribute to the country's economic recovery and to support people affected by the conflict, the project YoU EMBRACE intends to promote Erasmus for young entrepreneurs as a fundamental programme to ""Move forward together"" against the conflict involving two Ukrainian organisations (Dnipropetrowsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry and EEN Ukraine) and four organisations representatives of some of the countries more involved in hosting displaced Ukranian people (Project Ahead from Italy, STIC from Germany, Impact Hub Vienna from Austria and BEUP from Czech Republic). The project aims to reach 86 successful new Ukrainian entrepreneurs (both people remained in Ukraine and the displaced ones). Moreover, the consortium will register new 56 host entrepreneurs with a particular focus on that ones who deal with sustainable green and digital topics, according to the European Commission SME Strategy. YoU EMBRACE provides new activities to share experience and information between consolidated IOs and new ones to foster the programme to create a strong community of collaboration. The empowerment of this community will be favoured by building up network with policymakers and stakeholders to support an ecosystem fundamental to the Ukraine economic recovery that will allow the sustainability of the good practices activated even at the end of the project." |
